Week 3 of the challenge, the theme (set by the good people at Outgang Studio) was crime boss. I've done a few likenesses recently so decided to create a fictional character, and sculpted a 'realistic' take on the Penguin. This was huge fun, but I set myself quite a strict deadline so I wasn't spending more than an afternoon on it. Again started from a sphere. Hope you like it!
Video will follow shortly.
Here's the video for the last speedsculpt, hope it's useful/interesting.
Here's week 2! The challenge itself and the themes for each week come from Laura Gallagher and Piotr Dziubek on the Outgang Discord server. You can check out Outgang's website here: https://outgang.studio/
This one again was harder than I expected, the ref isn't great from those days. Again this is done from a zsphere in an afternoon, I'm setting time limits on myself. Hope you like, the video will follow in a day or two.
I'm doing 8 head speedsculpts in 8 weeks. First week is 'white female', so I sculpted Jessica Jones. Not sure I've nailed the likeness so will likely return to this with fresh eyes some other time.
Sculpted from a sphere in Zbrush.
I want to do more head speed sculpts this year to improve my skills, always starting from a sphere. First up I had a pop at sculpting Charles Vane from Black Sails. Not perfect but fairly happy with how it went. Time spent was around 3 hours.
